you could have it done at a salon. let them know what color your dress is, what style, etc. or flip through some magazines and find something you like and ask for that.

or ask around your friends-i have some friends that do amazing hair styles, and i never even knew it.

You can never go wrong with as long as you like what you look like,if you want to get your hair done try talking to a hairdressers some even offer preview do's you dont have to pay. Or if you want to do it yourself, straiten your hair, and latly curls have been on the top "Do's."

if you have long hair- an up do would be best. maybe a french twist with cascading curls. you will be dancing all night and it could get very hot. wouldn't want to be sweating. if you have short to shoulder-length hair- maybe a few strategically places hair accessories. nothing too big that stands out. just some small and sparkly. if you are unsure... do some practice runs. you will be surprised to find what styles you like for your hair

Actually it depends on your facial features and shape of your face as to whether you do a style that compliments all of that. If you have short hair, then maybe flip out the ends, if you have long hair, maybe put it up %26amp; do tendrils down each side. Or go for the Jessica Simpson hair extension look. I did my own hair for junior and senior prom - I kind of regret not having the salon experience. Get together with a group of friends and book your appointments at the same time. It will be so much fun that way.

If you're in a rush and you need to do your hair at the last minute, a good way to do it fast (it works for both short and long hair!) is this:

Get a whole bunch of hair rubber bands that are either clear or match your hair color. DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR! By not washing your hair, it's easier for your hair to 'grip' and stay together. You'll also need a rattail comb and/or brush, some strong hold aerosol hairspray, some bobby pins that match your hair as close as possible, and a curling iron - if your hair's short, you'll need a small barrel and if your hair's long you can use whatever barrel size you like. Also, having a friend around to help out is a good idea.

First, comb all your hair back from your face.

Then, pick up one inch sections of hair with your fingers or the comb. It doesn't have to be EXACTLY one inch sections, just close. Remember, this is meant for someone in a rush!

Then, twist the hair and pin it back away from your face. Do this all the way around your head. Have your friend watching and helping to make sure everything is secure and pinned up.

Then begin curling the loose hair hanging in the back. Depending on how coarse your hair is and how much of it there is, you may have to spray a SMALL amount of hairspray on it as you go.

After all the hair is curled, you can leave it like it is, or pin it up and around to kinda hid all of the bobby pins.

When you're done, spray on another light layer of spray. The more spray you have, the heavier your hair will be and the more your hair will be weighed down.

If your hair is long or semi long make a french twist in the back and leave some hair flowing out of top to make ringlets coming out of top and Fasten it with 1 large bobby pin going down through right after the point where the hair comes out. It may take 2. And in the middle in the nap of the neck going straight up through the twist. Pull a few strains along side of your face to curl. 3 different size curling irons would be best. If you don't have all three maybe you could borrow them from a friend or friends Mom. Smaller curls near the face and large and small curls coming out of the twist. Makes a beautiful hair do. If you have trouble with the hair coming out of the top or it's not long enough there are lots of hair pieces you can put on your twist. The color matches are usually very good. If it it a little lighter that's ok because naturally hair is lighten toward the ends because of all our shampooing and processing, And if you use a hair piece use 1 large bobby pin going down through the top to hold your twist. Also you can use smaller bobby pins to hold everything in place and hide them by pushing them in the twist. If you have bangs use the extra big curling iron and curl bangs under and comb gently then spray hair spray all over to set, MAKE SURE to use a comb under the curling iron as not to burn your forehead! I have done that and have learned the trick of the comb. Hope this helps.
