It depends on your facial traits, if you have a skinny face, you can use pomade or ask a hairdresser, and spike it or give it the shape you like. If that doesn't look good, wear a wig. It is not so much the hair, but the make up; practice your make up ahead of time, that and some good jewelry will dress you up. (The make up for night should be more dramatic.

Style it regularly and just put some beautiful clips in it. You can find things at any bridal shop too. Also, try looking at "short hairstyle" magazines.

Something I did, and still do for Mardi Gras balls and such, is get extensions. They have different ones that are in each price range so no matter the budget you can find something.

I have extremely short hair too! What I did, I kinda parted the hair right in the middle, slicked it down with some hair gel, and spiked up the back. Couple that with some medium size dangle earings and you'll be gorgeous!

do something... if you straighten it for the prom it will thin it out and make it appear to be longer, unless you always wear you hair flat ironed. If not go to ur hair stylist and tell them ur problem... then they will be able to fix it. well, most of them do. mine does and i go to regis.

I would suggest either investing in a wig, using some really pretty clips or flowers, or just don't worry about it and style it normally. If the guy asked you out knowing you had short hair then he doesn't mind. And if you wore a wig it might make him feel a little uncomfortable.

Get some gel that will hold it 'super still' and use that after you apply some Shine Junkie (it's got little bits of glitter in it) ... then 'finger comb' your hair to 'stick out' all over your head. You have 'short hair' and this is such a 'different look' that it will look outstanding, no matter what style of dress you wear. If you can wear makeup, make that a bit more 'out there' than usual, too, but try for a very 'girly' look on the face, to 'contrast with and complement' your hairstyle.

Look up 'pixie hairstyles' so many girls can look cute with hair as short as you say yours is. Its ashame you cant provide a picture?

If i were you i would go to the hairdressers (the best one i could afford) and get them to do it for me just before i went out - they will know what style would look great on you.

Or you could get extentions? might be abit too much hassle though.

As someone else said, i think a side parting with a cute clip on the side would look nice!

Ask your hair styliest. I had short hair for 2 weddings and they made it look awesome. They did cornrows in the front and curls in the back. THe other one did some cute curls and pinned it up. I didn't think that they could have done anything, but it looked great!

Most styliest really know what they are doing and it is totally worth going to one.
