No definently not dark it will make you look pale. You need a blue. I think that either light blue or dark blue would look good on you and it would make your eyes sparkle. I have dark brown hair and blue eyes and i have a light skin tone and maroon goes good with me.

Try jewel tones. The darker colors will pop against your coloring.

You would look great in teal, the color of the top you're wearing in the picture. Black is always a classic. Ivory or pale pink would look beautiful on you too.

light colors will wash you out. i would go with a striking blue -bright, not deep. this will bring out your eyes in an amazing way. Red heads always have a hard time finding colors that will love their hair. I have seen many red head actually wear red and look fantastic. however with your skin tone that may make you look blotchy

oh oh i got it---ok go for either a green or even better a turquoise-green. redheads are awesome in green and the hint of blue will play on your eyes. with no red on you (except your hair of course) you skin will also glow instead of blotch out.

Wow! You're so pretty... you have a TON of options! Congrats! My first suggestion would be earth-toned dress. Like an earthy brown, burnt red, rose pink, mossy/olive green, or even medium gray color. Those will play up your beautiful hair and eyes and make your skin look not so fair. Another great choice for you (and for ANY girl!) are jewel tones! Emerald green, Amethyst purple, ruby red, sapphire blue, even silver or gold would look nice if done the right way! Since you have a fair skintone and light-colored eyes and hair, dark-colored dresses will enhance those features, but keep in mind that by contrast, dark colors will make your skin look slightly paler. If you don't mind that.... fair skin can be really beautiful! But some girls don't like it, and you might be one of those girls, just go to a tanning salon and get a couple sessions of spray-tanning in before the prom, that way the dark dress won't pale you too much. Definately stay away from flesh tones, light pastels and light colors (light pink, light yellow, light blue, white, or light brown/beige colors) because they will wash you out completely. I would not go with any greens because it is so typical for redheads to wear greens(too trend), I would however go with a baby blue or a really pretty violet, your a pretty girl so you should be able to rock whatever you wear-good luck!
