Strapless prom dress, what to do with my hair?

I have a soft yellow strapless dress. What kind of hairstyle would look the best? I don't want my hair down, i was thinking a half updo or all up. I have fairly thick hair, its brown, wavy to curly underneath the first layer and straight on the top layer.

Trust me !!! Put your hair up..... Take it all off your shoulders!!! Especially since your wearing a strapless dress you definitely want to show off your shoulders, collar bone, graceful neck, and your beautiful face!!!! Well I would have it down and do a bump ( hope you know what that is) either straightened or curled . But since you didn't want it down you can do it half and half .... half up and half down . your idea is great you should just stick to it but i love bumps on my hair ..... i have thick hair too so it not hard so yep . bye and good luck!!!

Also if you want to go all the way up let some spirals hang down and give the hair some volume in the updo

id say put loose curls in the part thats not curly or wavy with a large barreled curliong iron and the pull all of it up into a loose romantic updo with the ocassional piece hanging down here and there... good luck

you could wear your hair down in the back %26amp; wear it up on the top as a bun or french roll. Rather yet you could blow dry your hair straight %26amp; twist roll the the front of your hair and candy curl the back.
